It is with great sadness that I learnt yesterday that one of our tangueras passed away on Sunday. Adelhaide was in our beginners class last year and will be remembered for her big smile and positive energy. The last time most of us saw her was at the Floral Milonga on Friday night - I am sure that all of us who danced with her will be very happy that we had such a lovely time together.
Our thoughts go out to her friends and family and we wish them well in this very sad time. Joy was with her when she drowned and our support goes out to her and Adelhaide's other special tango friends.
When I return from Auckland on 3 February we will have a little tribute to Adelhaide (between classes) and will dance a tango in her honour. I will also have a card for you all to sign to pass onto her family from her Tango friends in Nelson.
