We are celebrating 10 years of the NZ Tango Festival by dancing at the 1st location of the festival... The Grand Chateau, on Saturday 5th November 2011 at Chateau Tongariro.

JULY 31st Class and Verdict Milonga

We would like to welcome all Blenheim and Golden Bay dancers over for the Sunday technique class followed by the Verdict Milonga on 31st July.

Class will start at 4pm at St John's Hall and the milonga will start straight after the class at Verdict Cafe/Bar at 5.30.

Let's make a real night of it... have a bite to eat, a wine and some great dancing.  I will be djing till 8pm with some awesome lovely traditional pieces and some new nuevo tracks I picked up recently!

Gwenny informs us that we have a surprise visit from Joop Gobes and his new wife Angela.  They will be on a brief visit to Nelson before returning to China again.   Joop is looking forward to catching up but warns his dancing is a little rusty!

Monday Improvers Class

This Monday we are practicing everyones favourite dance - LA MILONGA!!  Come to the St John's hall and warm up those toes to nuevo and traditional milongas.

Doors open 6.15 for a 6.30 start.

Just a reminder that the technique class this Sunday will continue with the sacada theme.  Hope you have all been practicing your cat and mouse sacada exercises....

BACK IN NELSON and raring to go!

Hi all,
I am back in Nelson after a wonderful NZ Tango Festival.... will fill you on the highlights later in a quiet moment - but in the meantime here is a picture of the lovely Cecilia and gorgeous Somer - the highlight of  the Festival.
