ESSENTIAL INFO AT A GLANCE

Summer Tango essential info

Saturday 7 March Midday - 4.30pm
Queens Gardens
cnr Bridge & Tasman Sts
DJ  Iain (Wellington)
Wet weather option, Trafalgar St Hall, 67 Trafalgar St opposite Trailways
Theme: Spots and Stripes

Come and try out our huge portable dance floor, built by one of our very own tangueros, Bill, which will be set up right in the middle of the Victorian Queen’s Gardens. Grab a delicious takeaway lunch and while away the afternoon tango style with Iain Fyfe at the DJ helm. Rugs will be placed on the grass for you to lounge around on and there are a few picnic tables and chairs scattered around also.  There are plenty of trees to get shade from our hot Nelson sun, but don’t forget to bring a hat and slap on some sun screen.  If its raining head to the Trafalgar St Hall.

Saturday 7 March 7.30pm - midnight
BYO drinks
Masonic Hall
Entry $40 (includes dessert)
DJ Stephan Resch  (Auckland)
Theme: White Night Delight
With a lovely indoor-outdoor flow you will enjoy dancing at the new Masonic Hall.  It has arguably the best dance floor in Nelson and has been host to a few of our regular monthly milongas so far!
Head out to dinner first in Nelson at one of our great cafes or restaurants and then come to the milonga for your dessert!
Dress up and wear those flash shoes.   Nibbles, sweet treats and soft drinks will be available through the evening and you can BYO as well.

Sunday 8 March  1pm-5pm
FELLWORTH HOUSE  MILONGA
193 Milton Road, The Wood, Nelson
Entry $25
DJ Maida  (Auckland)
Theme: Floral
For many tangueros this venue is one of their favourites.  Nestled under the summit of the Centre of New Zealand, on a sun soaked, tree clad hillside overlooking Nelson city and the harbour, Tasman Bay and sun set drenched distant mountains, this elegant Victorian Italianate house hosts our farewell afternoon milonga.  Locals feel free to bring a plate to share!   BYO alcohol, soft drinks provided.

Call Anne-Maree on 027 238 0568 – if you are lost or need some help – hopefully I’ll answer!
