Weekly Update - have a good read!

October is unfolding with many tango activities keeping us busy.
Kasha and Grant come back for their final instalment next week and Labour weekend David Backler arrives from Melbourne to perform and hold some great classes.   Do you remember John and Felicity who taught here a few years ago?  They will also be performing at the Playhouse and Matthew and I will be teaching a fun free beginners class.  Then after the performance we will dance away the evening with an eclectic mix of nuevo and trad tangos by DJAM!  It's going to be fun!

MILONGA MADNESS CONTINUES  MARTINI GIRL, WORKSHOPS & ACCOMMODATION SPECIAL SUNDAY CLASS & AFTER PARTY

KASH & GRANTS WRAP UP MILONGA CLASS  Kasha and Grant head back to Nelson for the last instalment of their fabulous milonga course this Tuesday evening 14 October. It's not too late to come to their last two classes so long as you aren't totally new to milonga! If you are coming for the first time $40 will see you dancing for three hours of almost non-stop (we will have a 15 minute break at 7.30pm) milonga at Old St John's. See you there :-)

MARTINI GIRL 25 and 26 OCTOBER David Backler & Dianne Heywood-Smith from Sidewalk Tango, Melbourne excitedly come to town to present their fabulous cabaret show, Martini Girl. Call Nic on 540 2985 to book a table at the Playhouse for 6 people and only pay $20 each.  Check below for their workshops details for the Sunday classes.  Book in with me for the workshops. SUNDAYS at DUNDAS This Sunday class will start at 3.30 - 4.30pm $10 @ The Tango Room, 7 Dundas St We will continue with milonga traspie - but only for an hour!   Afterward please stay and join us for a birthday after party.  BYO a plate to share, we'll get the BBQ fired up and have a dance and celebration Tango style.   MONDAY CLASSES Old St John's 340 Hardy St $15 6pm - 7.15pm Beginners/Improvers "milonga traspie for beginners continues" 7.15pm - 8.45pm Intermediate/Advanced "giro technique" Beginners welcome anytime!

Weekly Update - Class Free November!

I am really excited to be going to Holland in a months time and I am so lucky that I have some great students/friends to open the practica doors for me and make you feel welcome.  Nicki and Bill will be your hosts ! It could also be a great time to introduce some of your friends to tango without the teacher being around :-)

In the meantime we have a month of classes to be had with Kasha and Grant coming back for their final instalment and David Backler coming from Melbourne + our regular Sunday and Monday classes -  so let's go hard for the month of October!

CLASS FREE NOVEMBER CLASSES MARTINI GIRL

CLASS FREE NOVEMBER Yes that is right - no classes in November while I dance in Holland, Amsterdam and Nijmegen actually!  I may even manage a milonga in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur as well. YAY! DON'T DESPAIR!!  I have organised a practica to take place every Monday night from 6-8pm (or longer if the vibe is good) to keep you tangoing in my absence.  The cost will be $5 to cover the hall. Below is a description of how a practica works in case you are new to the concept! 1st practica on Monday November 3rd St John's Hall 6-8pm $15

SUNDAYS at DUNDAS Next Milonga Class is on Sunday 5 Oct 4.30 - 6pm @ The Tango Room, 7 Dundas St Let's continue with the themes in Kasha and Grant's Milonga course with our own milonga course to make the most of their teaching, our learning and to get us ready for their return on Oct 14.  $15 per class.
