Cafe del Tango's opening night is this Saturday at KUSH in Church St, 7pm.
Come and listen to some tango music, have a coffee or vino and bite to eat and catch up with other tangueros and maybe some new folk as well!

BACK AND RARING TO GO!
I have returned from the Land of Oz and heading back into classes this week.
SUNDAY TECHNIQUE CLASS
Class commences at 4pm this Sunday so we can head off to the Verdict Milonga after the class at 5.30
St John's Hall, Hardy St
$15
TOPIC: Split weight pivots, Nuevo Style
This is a fun and challenging class and will recap the split weight pivot we did before I left for Oz and work on a new one.
Don't forget daylight saving time change
MONDAY IMPROVERS CLASS
Monday class recommences this Monday at 6.30 all welcome
$15
PRIVATE ONE-ON-ONES
Privates start again next week at Fairfield House.
Thank you to those that came to the Monday "keep the tango alive" nights while I was away. Thanks to Mike and Sophie for opening up and providing the music.
Here is a little video from Chicho and Juana, the moves are slow and precise (especially Juana unhooking her feet from her skirt) check out the first colgada we learnt in class and some split weights pivots.

Nuevo dream connection
After a great week of nuevo classes I thought you may like to watch the king of nuevo for more ideas! Here's Chicho and Juana.

I am on my way to Sydney....
While I am away the Monday night slot continues to be dedicated to Tango. Sophie will open the doors at the St John's Hall from 6.30 - 8pm at least for a practice if you like. Please make a gold coin donation towards to the hall hire. Sophie will collect this.
Saturday 24 September is the launch of Cafe Del Tango @ Kush from 7pm

Private classes resume Thursday 22 September at Fairfield House
Group classes will resume Sunday 25 September at 4pm at St John's Hall in Hardy St
Hope you all have a wonderful two weeks. If I have a few spare moments in Sydney I will give you sone updates on the scene over there.
